It’s just a way for the oh so radikewl queers to tell queer people that they aren’t queer enough. And it’s a load bullshit.
I have to pipe up here and tell you that I experience it. I wish that the entire queer community was as loving and accepting as people on tumblr, but at my new school, I get a lot of gruff from other lesbians. I’m “too-dykey” to be femme, but apparently I would look better butch, so they hassle me about wearing girly clothes and having short hair (it’s really just an asymmetrical bob…). It’s really problematic. Like people are held to standards in the heteronormative world… but there are expectations in queer community too that I experience and do not like. And they definitely derive from a lesbian couple not being able to just be equal in the traditional power roles, someone has to be considered the man, and someone the woman. It’s irritating.

It leads you to a site that does look a lot like the Victoria Secret website but there are noticeable changes (like not linking back to any other pink or Victoria Secret products) and there’s no way to get to the site from the actual Victoria Secret catalogue.
